LVMH Sails Off With Royal van Lent

The world’s leading luxury conglomerate group, LVMH Moet Hennessey makes a leap into the Luxury Mega-Yacht market by procuring Royal van Lent. An exclusive agreement with Egeria, an investment firm based in the Netherlands, has been signed on Monday September 1st, 2008.
Royal van Lent, one of the leaders in the market of custom luxury mega-yachts under the Feadship brand, has established itself as one of the top brands, having been in business for over 150 years. This Dutch designer and builder of ultra-exclusive mega-yachts uses state of the art design techniques and precise craftsmanship.
With this acquisition, LVMH will expand its already prominent presence in the luxury consumer market and take Royal van Lent and the Feadship brand global. Antonio Bellioni, Group Managing Director of LVMH says he is,”…confident about its growth potential in the exclusive mega-yacht sector, a market with sustainable growth prospects.” It is said that since 2000, the demand for these ultra-luxe toys has grown about 25% every year and is expected to continue with that rate annually.
