Established in 1990, this companies namesake comes from designer Mary Hicklin’s astrological sign – Virgo. Hicklin’s goal is to create a piece that not only looks good from a distance, but also gets better and better as you look closer. Her self-described delight in arranging “little fiddly bits” enables her to pay extra attention to the smallest of details.

Hicklin believes that is her job to draw in the “rightful owner” of each piece that is made. She makes each piece specifically for a person, and tries to place in a setting that will appeal to that person.

Named best jewelry designer in 2003 by the San Diego Reader, Hicklin’s “Inner Light Necklace” also received the Beadazzled Design Excellence Award for the Gemstones category in 2006. Her work has also been featured in Ornament Magazine and Cowboys and Indians Magazine.
