Hermes upped the ante on luxury with this extravagant $150,000 peacoat made entirely of crocodile skin. For the Fall/Winter 2008-09 collection, Veronique Nichanian, the Hermes’ menswwear designer for the last 20 years produced the ultra-sleek classic coat. Veronique Nichanian says, “the most timeless article of clothing a man can have is a leather piece.” With only one available at the Madison Avenue Hermes’ flagship store in navy, it is an exclusive item also available by special order. Hermes’ will do a worldwide search of the crocodile skin peacoat with a delivery time of 3-4 weeks. A customized version of this super-luxe, must-have is also available in any color with the option to have a hood addition. This would take a 6 – 12 months delivery time.
