Adopt a Rare Sumatran Tiger for $107,000
By timbaysinger • Jan 25th, 2010 • Category: Collect, News & NoteworthyEver wanted to have a tiger roaming around your backyard?
Due to the depleting population of tigers around the world, the Indonesian government is taking steps to ensure some of them will be around for the next couple of decades. In an attempt to stave off the extinction of the Sumatran Tiger, the country will offer these animals to be adopted.
With a deposit of $107,000 (one billion rupiah), you can have one of these extremely rare creatures; only 400 of them are alive today.
There are a few stipulations however, the tiger must have been currently held in captivity and is required to be placed in cages that are at least five meters high, six meters wide, and ten meters long.
These animals will remain property of the Indonesian government, so they can be returned to the country if they are no longer wanted. Any cubs that are produced will be property of the country as well.
This stunning creature will definitely be a conversation starter at your next party.
