Reopened Italian Five Star Hotel Releases Weekly Events Schedule

The week begins on Monday with “Health and Beauty Monday,” which takes place at the hotel’s new Santa Maria LPV Health and Beauty Club. This Club is made up of two cabins, one that is reserved for couples’ massage therapy, and the Calidarium which had special treatments – on Monday’s only – that will have you feeling refreshed not only in the body but in spirit as well.
Tuesday and Wednesday both feature culinary themes. On Tuesday, Chef Michele Gioia will guide you through her Il Ritmo delle stagioni, or ”The Rhythm of the Seasons” gourmet tour. Whether the food is grown in La Posta Vecchia’s organic vegetable garden or taken from local farmers, the entire evening menu features a local flavor. Wednesday the focus shifts to a sweeter tone, with the hotel’s Maitre Patissier ready to reveal all of his pastry baking secrets.
Thursday is for wine lovers, with Il teatro del vino, or “The Theatre of Wine.” Resident Maitre and Sommelier Antonio Roveda, along with his staff, will provide you with a sampling of the region’s best wines. The hotel’s award-winning Cesar Restaurant will design an accompanying menu that measures up to quality of the vintages.
Friday’s events begin the evening, with “Friday Night Live,” an entire evening devoted to live jazz. Taking place in either a garden aperitif that overlooks the sea or one of the hotel’s reception rooms; you will be serenaded with relaxing music that will help you wind down as the weekend begins. In addition, one Friday each month a welcome cocktail party will be held, followed by a light lunch, an afternoon Burraco card tournament, and a classic High Tea.
Dedicated to wellness, Saturday’s Vivere in salute features nutritionist and iridologist Dr. Luca Naitana. Joining together with a naturopath and herbalist, Dr. Naitana will offer medical consultation that comprises a bio-electrical check up, impedancemetry test, capillary sample, iridology consultation and tissue mineral analysis. Dr. Naitana’s team will also craft a personal diet with the help of chef Gioia.
Rounding out the week, Sunday will feature a Barbecue Brunch hosted by the Cesar Restaurant. Celebrating the region’s home cooking traditions, most of the items are genuinely home-grown in the hotel’s vegetable and herb garden.
Originally built by Prince Orsini in 1640, La Posta Vecchia was the well known residence of the Getty Family, until 1992, when it was turned into the hotel it is today. Keeping with the tradition of the 17th Century, the hotel’s largest suite bears the Getty moniker. La Posta Vecchia features just 19 rooms and suites overall. Price begins at €320 per night.
