Porsche Goes Out To Sea

Not satisfied with just making cars anymore, Porsche has decided to get its sea legs.
Porsche Design Studio has teamed up with Singapore-based yacht company Royal Falcon Fleet for the first of a new line of cruisers, the 135 Catamaran Superyacht. The stunning naval architecture was designed by swedish-firm Kockums and the award-winning Incat Crowther.
The 135 foot long vessel has a beam of 41 feet and a draft of 5.6 feet. The interior deck area measures 472 square meters and the exterior deck area is 308 square meters. Four guest suites and the main presidential suite accommodate ten passengers while ten crewmen can stay on board in either the captain’s suite, first officer cabin, or one of the four twin cabins.
Powered by two MTU16V4000M93L 3440 kW engines and two Rolls-Royce KAMEWA 80S3 water jets, RFF’s latest yacht cruises at 30 knots and tops out at 35 knots. This Lloyd’s Register class ship holds two 25,000 liters worth of fuel and its hull is plated with Lloyd’s certified high-strength aluminum plating.
Royal Falcon Fleet estimates the price at 35 million euros (51.4 million USD).
Coming on the market in late 2010, this breathtaking ship proves that two minds are indeed better than one.
