Featuring a top speed of over 335 km/h (208 mph), the Ferrari’s new 599 GTO holds the moniker of the company’s fastest road car ever built.

Even though the 599 GTO is inspired by production car designs, it is almost an entirely new concept. It is also closely based on the 599XX, an experimental track car, and could be described as the road-going version.

With 670 hp in a lightweight 1,495 kg vehicle, the weight-to-power ratio is only 2.23 kg/hp, and enables the 599 GTO to zoom past 100 km/h in only 3.35 seconds. For the first time ever on a production car, an integration between handling set-up tuned for a level of responsiveness that is close to the limit, and highly sophisticated electronic controls was used in the development of the chassis.

With a reported price of €319,495 ($430,000), the Ferrari 599 GTO will be limited to 599 models.
