Richard Mille Does It Again With $85,000 Brazilian-Themed Special Edition
By timbaysinger • Oct 6th, 2009 • Category: Horology, News & NoteworthyRenowned watch maker Richard Mille has come out with his latest creation: the RM011 Felipe Massa Titanium Black DLC Grand Prix Brazil.
This is Mille’s latest homage to Ferrari F1 driver and Mille’s close personal friend Felipe Massa, who survived a horrific car accident earlier this year.
Paying tribute to Massa’s home country of Brazil, yellow and green are featured prominently; yellow around the rubber crown and carbon fiber flange and a green superluminova on the second hands.
The ten piece special edition is created with a black titanium DLC coating on its center titanium case, giving it more of a “night” effect.
A stunning image of Felipe Massa’s helmet is located at the 10, further signifying its ten piece limited edition status.
Mille’s RM011 Felipe Massa Titanium Black DLC Grand Prix Brazil features some of the newest technical innovations, including a skeletonized automatic, winding movement with adjustable rotor geometry complete with a flyback chronograph in hours, minutes, and seconds. A 60 minute countdown timer, 12 hour totalizer, and an oversize date and month annual calender are also included.
Priced at $85,000, Richard Mille’s newest cutting-edge design is another example of his amazing ability to bring timekeeping and motor sport together.
