Lamborghini Announces 2010 Super Trofeo Series Schedule

Want to get behind the wheel of a 570hp Lamborghini race car?

Coming of a very successful inaugural season, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo is gearing up for round two.

The world’s fastest one-make series will start its engines for the first time this year April 23rd in Hockenheim, Germany. Participants will have the honor of getting behind the wheel of Lamborghini’s 570hp Super Trofeo race car.

This pan-European series will hit six circuits spread out across the continent. Supporting prestigious race series like DTM, FIA GT, Le Mans, and the Italian GT Championship, the car will again visit Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium and Paul Ricard, France. Four brand new tracks are also on the 2010 schedule.

Following the same format as last year, the world’s only four-wheel drive mono-marque series comprises of three 40-minute races, a 30-minute qualifying session, and free practice session.

At the heart of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo weekend is the Super Trofeo Village. Within the Super Trofeo Village, a boutique features both Lamborghini and Super Trofeo merchandise, while Blancpain showcases its watch collection, with demonstrations from its master watchmaker.

Entry Fees have not been announced yet, but last year they ran €25,000 for all 18 races, and €7,000 for three. The car itself costs around €200,000.
