By Alex Neely • • Category: Consumer Technology, News & Noteworthy

At the commencement of the Architectural Digest Show on March 18th, audience members were greeted by authenticity when Kalamazoo unveiled the Artisan Fire Pizza Oven.

Offering an interactive cooking experience, this second generation concept allows individuals to cook on an open front and exposed flame. With a short initial warm up of only 20 minutes, the Artisan Pizza Oven promises innovative high performance with rapid results. The countertop design from Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet can cook a thin- crust pizza in just five minutes.

However, if the person would prefer another style, the Kalamazoo Pizza Oven can manually tailor the heat, in order to compensate for any style of pizza.

Internally, the pizza oven comes equipped with two high-performance gas burners, each holding their own particular function. The top burner was designed to control the browning of the pizza toppings, while the bottom burner controls the crisping of the crust. Depending on the style of pizza, the temperature of the burners can range from 350 degrees to over 800 degrees.

The Artisan Pizza Oven empowers their innovation process within the professional composite baking stone. Exceeding heat transfers of natural stone, the composite baking stone will never become brittle over time.

Available in both liquid propane and natural gas configurations, the pizza oven’s overall dimensions are 30.125’ W x 30’ D x 19.5’ H.

On display now at the Architectural Digest Show, the Artisan Pizza Oven will be available in the next month for $6,495.
