Jeff Gordon’s Monte Carlo On Sale at Mecum

Used 18 times by Gordon from 2001-2005, this racecar has won such NASCAR events as the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 4, 2001, and the MBNA Platinum 400 at Dover International Speedway on June 3, 2001. The Monte Carlo also had two pole finishes, two Top 5 finishes, and three Top 10 finishes during its lengthy career.
Completely built by the Hendrick Motorsports #24 race shop, Gordon’s Monte Carlo includes a certified original SB2 358cid V8 race engine, the same that Gordon achieved his victories with. Once the Chevrolet Impala SS (COT) was introduced to NASCAR in 2008, the Monte Carlo SS was officially retired and is know one of the premier collector’s items.
The auction will take place, fittingly, in Indianapolis from May 19-23. Jeff Gordon’s Monte Carlo will cross the platform on Friday the 21st at 6:35 pm; 1,750 cars will offered in total.
