Furtak to Sell $550,000 Morane-Saulnire MS-760s Airplane
By Alex Neely • • Category: Aviation, News & NoteworthyOriginally created in the 1950’s for the French Air Force, the Morane Saulnire MS-760 is now available for the public.
Several years ago enterprising Canadian businessman and aviation aficionado Edward Furtak purchased and refurbished 30 Morane Saulnire MS-760’s. After Furtak had fashioned each plane with up-to-date technology, it was time for public exposure.
Historically, the Morane Saulnire is known as the “first light jet used for express purposes.” In Furtak’s enhancement, the four-seater, nicknamed the “Paris Jet” now comes standard with brand new leather interior, fresh paintwork, and a state-of-the-art computerized instrument panel.
Although Furtak reinvented the interior, the traditional aerial standards were conveniently reserved – incorporating the vintage maneuvering. However, Furtak did make the slight addition of a new turbofan engine, which allows for the high speed.
Propelled by the 34-ft. twin-engine, the MS-760 is capable of a maximum speed of 432mph, 405mph at sea level, and an approximate cruising speed of 393mph at 16,000 feet.
Along with the airplane, Futak’s company also acquired spare parts from the French Air Force, in order to potentially create his own line of new Morane-Saulniers.
Included in the price of $550,000, each individual can enjoy 10 hours of flight training.
