Christophe Claret’s Night Eagle Expected to be in the $400,000s
By timbaysinger • • Category: Horology, News & NoteworthyLaunched back in 2009, Christophe Claret’s innovative Dual Tow series will come out with its latest model, the Night Eagle.
Set to be witnessed at Baselworld 2010, this new version of the Dual Tow is dressed in all black, so its remarkable movement will stand out more than it already does. Its slim silhouette with angular tinted horns and sapphire bridges reveals a single-pusher planetary-gear chronograph with a striking mechanism and tourbillon.
Compromising of 574 different components, 65 jewels, and 8 ball bearings, the tourbillon rotates once a minute, creating a 60-minute power reserve. The case is made from black PVD titanium, with special ergonomic glasses and a flange with ceramic chronograph hour markers.
Three tinted sapphire crystals adorn the dial, with the first one acting as a bridge for the chronograph counters. The hour and minutes are displayed on rubber belts, while the small seconds hand is at six o’clock. A choice of a crocodile, galuchat, or rubber-feel leather strap, with a three-blade adjustable folding clasp, attaches this beauty to your wrist.
Although price has not yet been announced, their last Dual Tow, dressed in a white and black tuxedo style, was priced at $400,000.
