Known as the cornerstone of luxury watches, the tourbillon has officially entered the world of mobile phones with the release of the Celsius X VI II Papillon Tourbillon Phone.

Suspended of gravity, the tourbillon appears to defy physics while conveying the precise time. Wrapped in a sleek black case, this innovative technology is conveniently displayed front-and-center on the Papillon Tourbillon.

In this rare case, the magician revealed his trick, when Celsius announced the “Remontage Papillon,” or butterfly rewinding. This revolutionary process conceals a patented system which is activated any time the wings of the tourbillion are unfolded.

Each phone is expertly hand-crafted with a refined eye on skillfully contoured lines, fine materials, and subtle detail. Deceiving in size, the phone may fit in an individual’s pocket, but it is comprised of more than 547 mechanical components.

In hopes to continue the rapid evolutionary pace of technology, Celsius proclaims, “its first fluttering are [sic] given notice that it will soon be taking magnificent flight”.

Now although Celsius’ creative craftsmanship does not include an app market or a QWERTY keypad, the highly unique design alone is worth the asking price of $275,000.
