Celebrate Upcoming Olympics with $90,000 Americas White Special Edition
By Tim Baysinger • Feb 5th, 2010 • Category: Horology, News & NoteworthyTo embrace the return of the Winter Olympics’ return to North America, Richard Mille has created a special edition of his RM011 model.
Named the “Americas Four,” this watch will debut just in time when the torch is lit in Vancouver on February 12. This limited edition of 30 will – for the first time in an RM011 model – feature white colored details around the dial, crown, hands and numerals to mirror the snow that covers the slopes of Whistler, British Columbia (the main site of the games).
Like the other RM011 models, black titanium DLC coating give off a “night” effect. The same goes for its skeletonized automatic winding movement with adjustable rotor geometry, with a flyback chronograph in hours, minutes and seconds. Also the same 60-minute countdown timer, 12-hour totalizer, annual calendar, and oversize date and month are included.
This timepiece will only be available at Richard Mille retailers in North and South America, and will cost $90,000.
This coming April Richard Mille is also excited to sponsor the Les Voiles de St. Barth, a new international sailing regatta featuring the most beautiful sailing yachts from around the world. More information can be found here.
