Aston Martin Debuts New Vantage and DBS Special Editions
By timbaysinger • • Category: Automobile, News & NoteworthyTo celebrate the resounding success of the V12 Vantage, Aston Martin re-fitted their newest model in Carbon Black metallic paint, and plans to unveil it this week at the Geneva Motor Show.
This special edition of the increasingly popular model adds a flair that normally goes unnoticed. Each is painted by hand, taking roughly fifty hours, and then is checked with the stringiest of standards. The side strake that is an icon of Aston Martin is fashioned from carbon fiber with a black mesh back, and the wheels are glossed with black ten spoke diamonds. The front parking sensors that are only an option of the original Vantage come standard here and each of these models are bestowed with a plaque with the words “V12 Vantage Carbon Black” written in stainless steel. Price has not been announced yet; the original Vantage is $250,000.
Along with this fascinating special edition, Aston Martin is also showcasing the limited edition DBS-UB 2010.
Commemorating Dr. Ulrich Bez’s tenth year as Chief Executive of the company, the DBS-UB is a limited run of 40 (20 Coupes and 20 Volantes). Each of these has been personally designed by Dr. Bez, and sports an innovative Azurite Black finish with metallic bronze leather and woven leather seat inserts for a Cryptic Titan finish on the facia. Sill plaques with the inscription “UB-2010″ are signed by Dr. Bez personally. Price has not yet been announced.
