The world’s most expensive motorcycle is now on the market. On August 18, the 1954 AJS E95 “Porcupine” is going to be sold at Bonham’s automotive auction for an expected $750,000.

Only four models of the 1954 AJS E95 were ever created. The motorcycle is known as much for it’s speed as its visual appeal.

“As far as motorcycles go, the Porcupine is at the very top,” said Malcolm Barber ,Bonhams CEO. “It is arguably the most beautiful, graceful and innovative racing motorcycle ever built, the perfect blend of technology and art.

Bonhams will host the auction at Quail Lodge in Carmel, California. This will be the 14th year of Bonham’s automotive auction, which is the longest running auction of its kind.

The two day auction affair features 50 of the most preeminent machines on the automotive market.

The event will take place during the Pebble Beach Car Week, one of the most notable events in existence for car collectors.

In 2009, the E95 won ‘First in Class’ at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This year, one lucky rider will be able to bring the coveted motorcycle home.
