Watch and Jewelry World Getting Ready for Baselworld 2010
By timbaysinger • • Category: Horology, Jewelry, New & NoteworthyFor the 38th time, the best and brightest in the jewelry and watch world will descend on the city of Basel from March 18-25.
At Baselworld, only the “Who’s who” of the industry are featured, with some 2,000 of the top watch and jewelry makers on hand. New products, innovations, and trends will all be on display to experience or even engage in a transaction or two.
Sylvie Ritter, Show Director, argues that “this year, in particular, the World Watch and Jewellery [sic] Show will be able to establish itself as the competence centre for the sector”. Through a press release, Ritter explains that these companies are cutting back on their expenses by restricting their participation to Baselworld alone. This is the only place you can see all of these great companies in one setting.
As an added bonus for this year’s edition, Baselworld has revamped their website, to provide you with all the necessary information in an easy-to-follow setting. A comprehensive news platform has been created for both specialist dealers and consumers to give you the full overview of every company and product that is going to be displayed.
The event runs every day from 9am to 6pm (4pm on March 25), at the Exhibition Center Basel. Price for a one day ticket is 60 CHF, or 150 CHF for an 8-day pass. Renowned Baselworld Village is a well-established locale for an evening meeting place. Using this year’s slogan “Highlight the Night”, you can mix it up with other companies, journalists, and visitors at the many culinary and musical attractions.
Forget the holiday season, for all jewelry and watch lovers this is the most wonderful time of the year.
